We are Emily (mom), Megan (big sis) and Julia (little sis). Yes, we work together as a family, even roping Dad in quite often for advice and inventory help (he's an accountant), and yes, we still get along! Megan, our economics major, started gratefulimages with Emily in 2002 with the idea of getting Emily's watercolor images "out there". We're obviously biased because she's our mom, but other people agree with us when we say that Emily's paintings have a way of touching people's lives and we wanted to be able to share that with as many people as possible. Not long after that, MEgan asked her little sister Julia if she could use her photography images on some note cards and the expansion began. From 12 watercolor images on blank note cards to hundreds of images on all sorts of products, we've grown, and grown and now have our own studio (dad is SO EXCITED that we're not in the house anymore) and and amazing group of employees that we would be lost without. Check out our individual pages to learn more about each of us. Thanks for visiting our website. We're so happy you came by and we hope you like our artwork!
gratefully,
Emily, Megan, and Julia

EmilyAs I always say . . . “who would have thought”. What an amazing gift it is to work hand in hand with my daughters. I always say I’m one of the artists and Megan is the boss, but I forgot this is about what I do. My job is to paint. And that means to pray. I always pray before I paint, inviting The Creator to co-create with me. Whether I am in the studio or at a market my personal goal is to use gratefulimages as a way to bring all people closer to God, by telling my story through the images, by listening to our visitors’ stories, and by sharing our company’s story. It’s all about relationships. Emily Beynon, Artist |

MeganMegan's description of what she does will be availble for you to read shortly. In the meantime, doesn't she look cute? Also, if you're impatient to hear what she has to say shoot her an email (megan@gratefulimages.com). I'm sure she would love to hear from you. Megan Carfagno, Creative Director |

JuliaI'm the photographer in the bunch. That means that any photo you see on this site, artistic or not, was taken by me (except for this portrait, thank you Elizabeth!). I'm also the web designer so let me know if there are any broken links or hard to understand spots on our new site and I'll do my best to fix them ASAP (julia@gratefulimages.com). I live in Boulder, CO with my husband, Tom, and our daughter, Jane, but find reasons to fly to Houston or wherever gratefulimages is making noise as much as I can. Sometimes its hard not living in the hometown of the company (aka my family), but they all still find ways to shout orders at me so it works. Oh, and video conferences are awesome. Anyone with family in another city should definitely check into a webcam. Julia Pettus, Photographer |

ChuckThis is our dad (and in Emily's case, her husband). He does it all. He carries boxes, he organizes EVERYTHING, and he's a great fisherman. Seriously though, we would be lost without all of the business advice and general guidance he has given us throughout our lives and the life of gratefulimages. Plus, he makes us laugh. |
